Spiri Presents on Multi-Domain Awareness at H2O 2026

On June 9, Spiri's Program Director, Ben Hatfield, presented Multi-Domain Awareness for Ports and Shorelines at the H2O: Home to Overseas Conference in Halifax. The conference, hosted by the Ocean Technology Council of Nova Scotia in partnership with the Government of Canada and the Province of Nova Scotia, marked its eleventh year with a program focused on maritime domain awareness.

Six domains converge at shorelines: water surface, underwater, land, air, cyber and wireless, and space. These are high-stakes areas of military, infrastructure, and environmental importance. Spiri has developed an automated system that consolidates data from across those domains, then fuses, interprets, and shares the results with end users in real time. The system is built to grow: it runs on open source foundations and exposes open interfaces, so users can connect their own sensors and platforms.

On June 10, Mr. Hatfield joined the main stage panel The Challenge of Multi Modal Systems, moderated by Chris Bourque, Executive Director of the Ocean Technology Council of Nova Scotia, alongside Sean Kelly of GeoSpectrum Technologies and Roland Leyte of Kraken Robotics. The panel explored the use of multiple sensor platforms to build a complete picture of the maritime environment, with applications in marine asset protection, maritime security, and marine operations.
